Time to get Pickled!

Penguin City Brewing is proud to announce that we will be hosting the First Annual Youngstown Pickle Festival on Saturday August 16, 2025.

Everything pickles will be there. Fried pickles, pickled pickles, sweet pickles, hot pickles, basically...PICKLES!

There will be vendors from around the Valley and surrounding region, food, music, and as always, this event will be family and dog friendly.

So if you love pickles, or know someone who cannot live without these wonderful gifts from the gods (hyperbole, people!) you better head down to Penguin City for this one day extravaganza!

This is just a partial list of the day’s events and we will be updating it frequently as we get more information, so you had better bookmark this page!

  • We are teaming up with Youngstown Pizza Reviews for the “Battle for the Best Pickle Pizza” at PickleFest!

    We’re inviting local pizza shops to participate by entering either a pickle pizza already on their menu or a special creation just for the event.

    Judging criteria will include:

    • Flavor: Does the pickle work with the overall pizza profile?

    • Originality: Creative use of pickles and toppings.

    • Presentation: Visual appeal of the pizza.

    • Crust & Base: Texture, quality, and how well it holds up with the toppings.

    • Overall Impression: Would you order this again?

    We’re also doing a People’s Choice vote where attendees can cast a ballot for their favorite pickle pizza.

  • Fun Time Friends Face Painting

    Get into the pickle spirit—literally! Stop by for face and arm painting, plus glitter tattoos with exclusive pickle-themed designs you won’t find anywhere else.

    The Graze Cart by Delirium

    Snack like a pro with charcuterie box loaded with cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and—you guessed it—pickled everything. Build your own bite-sized board and graze your way through Pickle Fest with a snack that’s as pretty as it is tasty.

    Tongue Punch Flavor Co.

    Bold name, bold flavors. Come try their Dilly Dilly Dill Pickle seasoning, snack on addictive pickle pretzels, and be the first to try a spicy dill flavor launching just for Pickle Fest. This is your chance to get punched…in the tongue (in the best way possible).

    Sweet Memories Vintage

    Vintage vibes meet pickle pride. This retro-loving vendor is stocked with Vlasic Pickle graphic tees, quirky pickle-scented candles, and pickle candy that’s equal parts sweet and sour. It’s a nostalgia-packed pickle pop-up you don’t want to miss.

    1054 Designs

    1054 Designs is bringing their pickle-packed embroidery magic to Youngstown Pickle Fest! They’ll have crowd-favorite tees and crewnecks like “Youngstown’s Kinda a Big Dill”, “Bad Day to Be a Pickle” embroidered hats, and so many more dill-icious designs. PLUS—they're bringing their embroidery machine for live, on-site stitching so you can watch your custom piece come to life right before your eyes!
